Križ grk

A dry, full-bodied white wine with a unique aroma, and orange colour,
characteristic of macerated wines aged in wood. This rare indigenous variety consists
exclusively of female flowers, which is why it requires pollination by other varieties
such as Plavac Mali, Rukatac, or Pošip. Grk clusters also contain small unfertilized
berries that give the wine its recognizable subtle bitterness. The wine is produced
through spontaneous fermentation with five to seven days of maceration and aging
in neutral wooden barrels, without filtration or fining. The alcohol content is
13.5–14.5% vol.
